hey i think wine is setup but now it ask for a windows exe. somebody please tell me what i need to do to get wine working. any and all info would be useful at this point.

You need to navigate to the folder where the windows exe (that you want to run) is stored, like:

for example, Winzip:
cd /mnt/win_d/bin/winzip/

and then type in:

wine winzip32.exe

to start winzip32.exe

i tried that but the wine console just closes and nothing happens. anthing else?

If Wine closes after this, you either have to configure Wine, or the program you are trying to run is not supported by Wine...

I`m a n3wb myself so i`m not sure!

oh, yeah, the new ones have that stupid gui output. I ran screaming when I saw it and am using an older version of codeweavers wine.
