Does anybody know how to download Suse Linux?
It looks like you can't really download iso images you have to write a boot disk. Boot up with it and then type "linux install= ftp*****"
Well, I have written the boot floppy with rawrite and also all the modules. I'm ready to go except I don't really know what to expect at bootup.
Anybody know what happens next??????
i imagine the suse website has instructions on how to install from a floppy.

No as a matter of there's very little instructions, just to boot from the floppy or a bootable cd.

Go to distrowatch.com and look at this page - http://www.distrowatch.com/review-suse.php
It has instructions for 8.0 but they should be the same or similar for 8.1

if u can tell me where to download 8.1, ill tell u how to do it. :D
i have 8.0 at the mo installed via ftp netinstall and its not bad, but takes a while.
i looked at the ftp's but in 8.1 directory there is a text file saying that 8.1 will be uploaded soon(third week in october) so where is it :)

Look at the international mirrors, the french ftp was quite fast I downloaded the 4 modules images at 65k
