RH 8.0 Installation Freeze [Archive]

New here and I am having a problem. I am trying to install Red Hat 8.0 and it will not work for me. It is freezing up my system when it gets to about 20%. I have tried another set of disks, I have check the HCL and can find no conflicts. A little background info: 1.2 GHZ Athlon
Asus Motherboard
512 MB RAM
60 GB HDD - Partitioned into 4 (2 GB boot, 20 GB Crap, 3 GB Linux, and the rest? crap)
13 GB HDD 2 Partitions( crap and more crap)
Winblows 2000

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Getting frustrated, want to get as far away from Winblows as I can.

try disabling plug and play in the bios if you have it enabled.

Plug and play is disabled... any other suggestions?

I'm having exactly the same problem... but it happens around 60%. I know the disks are good.
