Is suspend supported in any way shape or form with linux? I use it a lot in XP as the machine is to all intents and purposes off, but it "boots" in around 10 seconds (my motherboard supports suspend to ram - mode S3).
Thanks.

I hate power downs . I think they are as useless as a screensaver . Whens the last time you've seen text burned into a monitor screen . Power downs require Power ups so whats the difference?

Its either suspend or off - I'm in a small room in a hall of residence and I can't sleep with a light aircraft sitting in the corner - so, to ask again, if anyone can tell me if its available (and how to do it) then I'd appreciate it.
