Yes? Then it's fine, don't worry about it. Linux is not like Windows -- if something doesn't work in Linux, it doesn't work. At all (generally). What makes you think something's not working right? Tjoh311 10-15-2002, 06:51 PM I still can't seem to get around Quake crashing unless I have the sound disabled. UT works perfect every other sound file works, exept for the sound in quake III arena. Its very disturbing, and its consuming my life. bwkaz 10-15-2002, 11:19 PM *ding* A light bulb just went on over here. There will be a post in your thread in Linux Games shortly... Tjoh311 10-16-2002, 10:29 AM Thank you bwkaz 10-16-2002, 01:42 PM Unfortunately, that wasn't the problem (you aren't using the same sound card). So I don't know... If anyone else is interested in what we're talking about, the thread is here: http://linuxnewbie.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68243 Tjoh311 10-16-2002, 07:51 PM Everything that I have read displays support for my sound environment.(Sis7012) This includes OSS and alsa drivers.( If Redhat did in fact install them.) I will try sndconfig this time in su mode;) and if that doesn't work I will try installing the latest point releases. It just doesn't seem possible that the patches could be the problem. Never assume I guess:rolleyes: justlinux.com
