Well, I have had some interesting things happen lately with my firewall using Redhat 7.3. I, of course, have two ethernet cards. One is working correctly (Kingston card... 8139too module), and one that seems to be working somewhat (Linksys LNE100TX tulip module). The interface for eth0 comes up, but I get the following pumped out to the screen:
eth0: (##) System Error Occured (0)
This error comes up and repeats on a regular basis (several every few seconds). The ## starts at 1 (I think) and then increments... until I shutdown the interface.
The funny thing is that I installed Redhat 7.3 via FTP through this card, so something must have gone wrong either during or after the installation.
modules.conf looks good. What else should I look at or do to solve this problem?
