Lo all

I am also having a few problems with the connection for the ADSL USB Speedtouch connection with BT.

PC Spec
OS Dual boot
partition 1: Win2k Pro
Partition 2: NTFS Storage
Then Mandrake 9.0 latest release ocupies the rest of the disk.
Processor: amd k6-2 500mhz
Motherboard: P5A-b
CDROM: 50x
RAM: 320mb
HDD: 60 GB
G Card: Voodoo 3 AGP

The Problem :p
I have used the setup wizard to create the connection in Mandrake Control Center, i have also got the mgmt.o file in /usr/share/speedtouch. The system appears to connect sometimes and other times it fails. If the system does connect it discconects about 3 minutes later. My USB Ports and Alcatel Speedtouch Modem are both shown in the Hardware manager. There is nothing wrong with my connection as it works fine on the (cough) windows system.
:Important: I have found it is not possible to set the modem up on install of the OS as you have no way of adding the mgmnt.o file
Can anyone please advise where i have gone wrong????? :D

OK So i am a complete N00b pls ignore the post as i did not search hard enough

Are you using the correct vpi and vci settings?
Check here (http://speedtouch.sourceforge.net/) and here (http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/speedtouch/speedtouch/doc-linux/FAQ?rev=1.14)

Any
