Is it just me or do things just work better under Gnome than under KDE ?

Ive been using KDE for the last few months, but now that ive switched over to Gnome, my CD player works and Gaim actually shows who is/isnt logged in.

My Linux experience is getting better everyday. I have 2 machines with RH 7.2 installed
:p

I just installed Mandrake 9 yesterday and have been playing around... seems to me that GNOME seems to run smoother and is less clunky than KDE. I also was playing with Window Maker, xfce, icewm, etc. but GNOME seems to be the smoothest to me. Personal opinion of course, but hey-that's what's great about Linux-to each their own and if you don't like it, write something that you will like. :D

I was a GNOME man myself, but when I installed Gnome2 it was clunky as hell. I installed KDE, and to my surprise it ran a lot faster than Gnome2.

...that is until i get fluxbox working

for some strange reason, i have trouble with copy/paste features in KDE such as copying from the text editor and into the address window of mozilla or anywhere else in mozilla for that matter.
