color depth

how do i change the color depth in KDE? im trying to play half life and it gives me the error that my color needs to be 16 bit. how do i change it?

What distributiion of Linux are you using? What color depth are you set at now?

im using red hat 7.3, and i dunno what color scheme im on now, cuz i dont know how or where to change it.

Im pretty sure you wont be able to fix that by setting the color depth in X. You need to pass
-winver win98
or something along those lines to wine. Check the transgaming site, under halflife
