Hey all. Big time newbie here... I want to configure my desktop to do different things but I can't figure out how to do that in Bluecurve. Things like, making windows transparent, like the terminal window transparency thing. Also I would like to be able to change how the toolbar looks, maybe inserting tiny backgrounds instead of the boring grey.
I've also noticed ethernet/CPU statistic toolbars on the sides of people's screens. How do I get that?
Well, someone told me about Fluxbox and I've heard from other places that it's good. Could someone be ever so kind as to walk me through the steps?

The system mon. that most people use is called gkrellm-- it might already be installed try and run it(not sure about RH8.0). As for flux. Maybe this thread can help ya:

Thanks. Next question. This gkrellm thing... can I make it "always on top" or something? And is there any way but the terminal window to get this thingy fired up? Just wondering, because I noticed it closes if the terminal closes.

Oh and another thing. I just installed FluxBox but gee I feel dumb. How do I run it? :D
Edit: I do a startx at the console right after logging in. How do I fire up fluxbox from here? Also is it possible to switch to/from it and Bluecurve during an X session?
