Hey everyone, I just got fluxbox going on my mandrake 9.0 final box.. I saw some pretty sweet looking semi-transparent terminals and I wanted to know how to get that going. I currently have konsole and xterm but it doesnt look like either will let me do what i want. Thanks for you help in advance, you guys/gals rock!

I think you want eterm (http://www.eterm.org).

I haven't had a chance to download Fluxbox yet since my Isp connection has been down for days, so I've been fiddling with some window managers that come with Mandrake 8.2.

So far, whenever I've tried to run eterm it has done...well...nothing. I've tried under KDE, Gnome, and Blackbox so far. It looks like it tries to load eterm and then it just finishes without doing anything.

aterm also supports transparent terminals, and I've found it to be smaller, easier to compile, and more stable than eterm (although less features).

did you happen to install the dependencies for eterm? it requires imlib2 and libast.
