An indexed directory e.g. a directory that does not contain and index.html file so it has been told in httpd.conf to just list out the files similar to if you visit the "icons" directory in a default install of apache.

Is there a way to lengthen the columns so that long filenames can be seen more easily by editing something in the httpd.conf file? I've been through that file several times looking for the obvious things but it's either not obvious or not possible. Thanks in advance.
