At what point does Apache use, or not use, ready memory
for cache. I have a small webserver that serves modest
sized WMV video files some of which are 10MB in size.
While I watch the server in action there is no disk
activity suggesting to me that all the web pages and
or WMV files are coming out of cache memory. I fact
the server can be active for long periods of time
and there is little disk activity. I use Mandrake 8.2
and have 192MB of DRAM. Gnome is running and maybe
a Mozilla browser and the Internet activity display.
Or is this really just a Mandrake Linux thing?
