before i installed my Netgear model MR314, qtella and gnutella worked, now they won't connect? any suggestions?

I don't know how gnutella works, but you should look into port forwarding for your router.... I'm assuming that's what you got anyway.

A service that runs behind your firewall needs to recieve returning packets, so you need to tell your firewall what port numbers to automatically forward to the ipaddress of the client.
