A question about Upgrading

I don't know if this is distro specific or not , im assuming not . If I was using MDK 9.0 beta 4 and did just an "Upgrade Packages" install of MDK 9.0 rc3 do I now have rc3 ? I edited my Grub config file to point to the new kernel and chose all the same pkgs as when I did the clean install of MDK 9.0b4 . Thanks in advance for your replies .

Its not really a big deal . I was just curious . BTW ....MDK9.0 runs pretty good .

Print out a list of all the packages including the versions and check against the list of packages for rc3 on ?? Mandrake ftp servers.

rpm -qa > rpm.list

Thanks . It looks like my system is now rc3 . I havent checked against every single package yet , but a quick overview looks promising .
