hi, i jumped on linux soon as i got my frist computer and i'm just wondering if i can proxy myself even though i only have 1 computer?

yaa u can. u can configure squid on the box and start caching ..but caching just for one box may be an overkill ..what u can also do is adv blocking using squidGuard. that would a killer app :-) ..
