I've installed gnome2 from the RPMs for SuSE 8.0, but I was a little disappointed when I logged into it. It seems to have a lot fewer options for customization than gnome 1.4. When I went to the menu, I found menu entries for the KDE and SuSE menus, but they were empty except for a couple of applications that I had added to them.
Is there a way to import these menus into gnome2?
I also do not have any sound in gnome2. When testing a sound file, I got an error message suggesting I install gnome-audio - but I had already installed it (prior to installing gnome2). Do I need to reinstall it in order for gnome2 to recognize it?
Has anyone had success adding themes to gnome2? I've tried with both the sawfish and metacity window managers, but with no success.
Sorry to be posing so many questions in one post, but I've found very little information on gnome2, beyond the basic installation instructions.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
