Hi all,
Pre-newbie questions. I have RH 7.3 installed for 3 days now. Yes, it's my first linux :)
1) Searching a way to change the resolution in Gnome I saw that I could run xconfigurator, which I did. I selected the dersired resolutions and then the prog said Ii had to load xwindows to test them. Then it got stuck on a blank desktop (while in the new resolution) with the mouse (which can move) as a cross. What do I do now ? Hard reboot ? Again ???
2) Some times while trying to reboot the PC is shutting things down but then gets stuck after giving a code XX XX XX XX XX... (hex). Also, is my only option then to hard reboot ? And then have to run (usually) fsck on restart ?
3) Is there a graphical way to modify settings to hardware like in windows ? For example to repllace a sound card or install a modem from scratch ?
