get out of the MLWM or something like that WM. There is no exit command, no man page and if I kill it X logs right bak into it.

Have you tried killing X? ctrl-alt-backspace

First thing I tried and it logged right back in. I ended up CTRL+ALT+F1 the used ps aux found the PID and killed it that way, KDE logged in but acted funny so I logged out then back in and all is well! Thanks though, I had a lapse of ...... what was I saying?
