Hi,

I'm having problem getting dockapps on the WM dock.

I build the apps according to the instructions. My understanding is that I'm supposed to run the app and then drag it to the dock.

When I run the app, it starts and the working icon appears with my other icons, but I can't drag or click on the icon.

My understanding is that these apps run on the dock, the same as the wmclock app does. Am I wrong about this?

Thank you for your help,
sb

under fluxbox to get WM dock apps into the fluxbox slit, we use -w. try that and see what it does.

I tried this, but had no luck. According to the documentation it's just a matter of dragging the apps.

When I run with -w I get the usage message:

[scott@here ]$ wmsysmon -w

WMsysmon - illusion <clarkd@skynet.ca> http://www.neotokyo.org/illusion

usage:
-display <display name>
-geometry +XPOS+YPOS initial window position
-r update rate in milliseconds (default:200)
-h this help screen
-v print the version number

I'm also trying the apps wmgmon and wmdl.

Just a thought:
Have you loaded the "monitor" kernel-module?
For the wmsysmon dockapp you need to load the "monitor" kernel-module. Without it you can't use this dockapp

No, I haven't loaded this. I'll try and report back, although I don't think that this is the problem because

1 I can run wmsysmon and the dockapp appears on my screen and works (except it's not on the dock) and

2 I have the same dock problem with other dockapps such as wmdl.

Assuming that the kernal is build to accept the monitor module I'll check back and let you know how it works out.
