I have just installed Mandrake 8.2:D. When I set the clock, the clock in the menu bar is off an hour. I am in the Indiana time zone. We do not switch with daylight savings. Any ideas? Has anyone encountered any problems similar?

Right -click on clock. Choose "Adjust date and Time". The dialogue that comes up has a section to change the time zone. Click and scroll to Indiana.

I have adjusted the time zone, etc.
The menu bar clock is still off one hour from the clock on the properties panel.

Then wouldnt the easiest way to fix that be to change the time zone another hour off? :) It probably would be a long while till another release.

I had this problem with KDE too. You right click and change the time, but on the next restart it's right back to where you left it before you 'fixed' it. If this is your problem try logging into KDE as root instead of as a user and then giving it a correct time.

thanks loki3, worked like a charm. That can get annoying for average user (ex. my wife). ;)
