Good day,

I'm running RedHat 7.3 and I installed the included vncviewer and server. With the vncviewer, how do I send the 'ctrl-alt-del' to a W2K box? There's no pulldown box or anything on the viewer to do so.

Thanks in advance,
Tony

Tony.. try using

shift+ctrl+alt+del

this will send the ctrl-alt-del command to the windows machine without rebooting your system :)

This information is also posted in the mailing lists on the VNC website at http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc

This can depend on the Window Manager you use.

I use Blackbox and I can type Ctrl-Alt-Del directly. I coudn't do this in IceWM, it would produce the logout options dialog box.

I never tried using the shift key. I'll have to try it.

Press the F8 key in the viewer. This will summon a pop-up window. "Send Ctrl+Alt+Del" is one of the options.

I think this window is customizable?
