I had to answer this way because the UBB is not working very well; It wouldn't let me reply.
First of all, when you make partitions for Linux, you have to have at least two: the Linux ext2 partition where it puts all its files, and the swap partition where it puts the swap file. These are two different types of partitions, and you can't use one for the other. You can make both of these if you have Partition Magic 5.0. If you don't, you can either get the new version, or use Linux's fdisk or Disk Druid (which is easier to use) to do the partitions when you set up Linux. If you use Linux to set them up, you need to leave enough free space without any partitions.
