Im going to run Fluxbox instead on KDE3 and I want the gnome panel as well , do i have to download this or is this apart of gnome 1.4 which I have installed .

Errrrm...when you say "download this" are you talking about the gnome panel??? If so...then I don't think you would have to, it SHOULD come with gnome already. Ummm...just make sure you enable gnome support when compiling fluxbox.

the GNOME panel is called panel, and I start it with panel & in my ~/.xinitrc, but then I log in to X from the console with startx
