How do I install those styles for KDE 3.0? Its all so confusing, I get all sorts of errors and stuff. I'm loosing hope for linux....

Are you following the included installation instructions for each of the theme packages?

Could you please post the error messages you are getting?

htere is my error, I guess I needed gcc or some complier installed. How can I SIMPLY install one? I dunno, plz help:

You need to install the developmental packages. That will give you the gnu c compiler (gcc).

oh great, that last reply was *REALLY* allot of help. Came right after I had figured that out on my own... How do I install the development packs or whatever I need?

I would presume with your software manager and install cds.

I have no idea of what distribution or version you are using, so I suggest you be more specific with your question or check the support pages of your distro.

Ok,

runnign Red Hat 7.3 here. 3 Disc edition I downloaded and burned.

Try starting the installation again, select upgrade and then select the development package option.

And make sure you choose Custom installation. You probably chose Workstation last time.
