Well I've been putzing around with different distros of Linux for a while and have gravitated towards MDK and GNOME for my GUI. The newst release of GNOME I like a lot. I have a question however (as I am still rather new to linux and gnome).
When Mandrake 9 Beta 3 installs GNOME 2 it sets up the taskbar and desktop selector on the bottom of the screen (I like) and has a Mac OS type menu at the top of the screen (I like even more) However instead of the standard GNOME icon for the application starter there is the Mandrake Star and Mandrake name. My question is if its possible to change this? I actually haven't been able to alter this menu at all. There doesn't seem to be a prefrences or customization menu for it. I'm afraid to remove it as I don't think I'll be able to get this menu back. So anyone with GNOME customization knowledge or links with the knowledge would begreatly appriciated. Thanks! :)
