Im having a problem with IP Chains on boot up. The ipchains file that is located in /etc/sysconfig is not what is activated on bootup. I need to enable access to port 8080 from the internet, and if I add the line to ipchains, then restart it, there is a totally different set of ipchain rules, and the DHCP service stops working when i do this. all I want to do is enable port 8080 with the boot up set of rules.
I am using Red Hat 7.1 and I initially set the firewall up with lockit.

any help is greatly appreciated
