I am wanting to use RH7.3 for my livingroom jukebox machine instead of windows. The only questions I have is will the drivers for the SBL output 5.1 audio the way they do in windoze?
And furthermore my music library is located on a fat32 samba share. Is that a problem for a linux box?

As long as you have all the permissions straight it is not a problem that they are on a Samba share. In fact, if they are on a NTFS share Samba can still get to them.

I'm not sure about the 4 speaker setup as I only use 2 speakers w/woofer or my home stereo, but the driver modules are included in the install Redhat install.
