I have a machine changed from windows to Linux in which i have both these devices chained through the ScanJet (It has an Parallel pass through port that the printer is connected to).
It worked fine in windows (with the correct drivers) but sane cant see the scanner in Linux.
Does anyone have a similar setup? Is sane not recognising the scanner beacuse of the parallel pass through or because the scanner isnt supported by sane?
I havent tried to physically plug in only the scanner right now as there is a lot of wiring i would have to change/reroute to do it.
Just wondered if, before i did this, if anyone had experience of this kind of setup?
