Uhh cant get back in... kinda shady

ok i had fluxbox running everytime i typed startx


then i typed switchdesk kde

then startx and i got into kde

how do i go back... i cant jsut run /usr/bin/fluxbox cuz it says cant connect to xserver

and it wont let me switchdesk back into it because its not one of the listed options when i type switchdesk

how should i get back into it!?

try startx /usr/bin/fluxbox or startx fluxbox

already tried...

before i noticed the ONLY way i could get into fluxbox was startx

and when i did startx it would go STRAIGHT to fluxbox... like it was set in it...


but i think that when i did switchdesk i los the configuration for that.... and now i dont know how to undo it...

you did make an .xinitrc file didn't you?? if not do so and put exec fluxbox in there and then startx...that's the only thing I can think of right since I've never used switchdesk or any login managers and stuff. Good luck.

haha my bad i had it but i t was a dir which contained a filed called .xinitrc
