Need KDE3 Help

I just finished installing KDE3 on Mandrake 8.2 and I have this little problem. I can boot into KDE3 fine as a regular user, but it loads old KDE 2.2 whenever I log into root. Any ideas ? TIA.

Ummm...I have an idea. I'm not sure if you're willing to go through with it but it might help. First log into some other desktop enviroment then from there uninstall both kde 2.2 and 3.0. Then just reinstall 3.0, it might work I dunno. One more thing, if I were you I wouldn't log in with root using X, it's rather "unhealthy":D and bad practice. But whatever floats your boat ;).
