Installs as Wine? I opted to remove the original Wine that came with my SuSE 8. Then, it installed and everything was great. But, when it came time to run it, the command 'winex' did not work. However 'wine' did. And it said it was version 20020228 (or something to that extent) and I had Wine 20010811 (once again, estimated). But I do know that it's a different version. My question is, did WineX get installed, or has something gone screwy? (I tried to install WC III, btw, and it didn't work, but that's another question entirely)

No, you installed WineX alright...the CVS uses 'wine' as the default executable, where if you get the binaries they use 'winex'
Don't know why WCIII doesn't work for you...bad CVS? copy of original CD? or worse yet, CD copy protection?
I know I had to stop using the CVS because it was messing up my CrossOver plugin's version of wine...

Well I did EVENTUALLY, but it still won't let me into a game, it crashes right when I select a mission (eg. Exodus of the Horde).

Is it possible to run wc3 off a mounted windows drive. I have it installed in windows and I've been trying to run it in linux, but I have no idea what I'm doing just playing around with linux, but if I could get wc3 to work in linux that would be sweet.
