I am using the Cisco 675 DSL modem from Qwest.
I have it plugged into a 1 of 2 nics on a system running IPCop v0.1.1.
The second nic connects to a linksys 8 port switch.
When I have the cisco 675 plugged into the switch, all computers connected to the switch have internet access and the LAN light on the cisco 675 shows green meaning it detects a connection.
When I plug the cable into the linux router instead of the switch the LAN light doesnt light up and the firewall is not able to ping any ip addresses not in my network.
I have tested both nic cards. I read that there can be problems connecting cisco equipment to a linux box but I dont know how to resolve it.
Any help would be appreciated.
