NVREC, RTE-0.5CVS, LibQuickTime installing

Tonight, for about two hours, I have unsuccessfully to get NVREC to work. I have installed (sucessfully) AviFile, Divx4Linux, ffmpeg, lame, and mp1e. I have yet to install LibQuickTime, RTE, and NVREC.

Here are the errors:
LQT:
lqt_codec.c: parse error before '*'... trak, vtrack, codec undeclared.
RTE:
lots of initializer constant stuff.
NVREC:
undefined reference to 'register all'.

Any help to deciphering these messages?

Please be aware of the universal caveat for using CVS

IT IS DEVELOPMENT .. and constantly changing. There is a *very* good likelyhood that the code accessible in CVS may be broken at any time.

Please speak to the developers of the software involved, or wait several hours and try a cvs update, and retry compiling.

Well, seeing as there are problems with all 3, I don't think I'm even going to bother. Maybe when I'm better with Linux I can see what's going on.
