I downloaded the RtCW linux files and installed them. It told me to run wolfmp to play the game. When I do it says can't find some *.cfg file. Has anybody experienced this before?

You need to run it as root first so it can create the initial config. If you installed it to a dir that you normally wouldnt have write permissions (/usr/local/games is the default) then that is the problem. Run the game as root, configure it the way you want (resoultion, sound, etc...) then quit, log in as your normal user and all should work ;)

I didn't have to run the game as root ever...Only needed to run the install as root and then was able to configure everything for whatever user played.

The main key is to always install as root, then everything should fall into place from there.

Each user has their own config directory in their /home area

Thanks for the help guys. It turns out that I needed to manually copy some *.pk3 files from the Windows install to the Linux install directory to get it to work. I can't believe it runs as well as in Windows. The colors are more vivid in Linux though!
