I downloaded RH 7.3 ISO images and performed a installation from Hard Driver. After I inputed the ISO directory and then choiced OK, I got following error:

Error mounting /dev/loop1 on /mnt/runtime (Invalid argument)
This shouldn't happen, and I'm rebooting your system now.

I have tried to boot from a boot floppy and using Autoboot in DOS, but it's same. I have three FAT32 partition(C:,D:,E:) and an unallocatted partition (12G) is for RH. The ISO images are located in E:\redhat\, named cd1.iso, cd2.iso, and cd3.iso.

Any ideas how to deal this problem? Thanks for any help.

Where are you following the instructions from? Redhat's site?

Do they have anything on that error message?

Fisrt, thank you for your tip. It sounds I don't need come here but just keep searching on Google. Second, I followed the offical RH installation guide to install and didn't find any information about this error, so I came here to ask for help. Also, I'm still trying my possible to find out the solution. Finally, If my question is stupid for some expert, I am sorry. But here is a Newbie Help fourm and I'm exactly a newbie. I expect someone who has some ideas gives me a hand. Thank you very much!

Are you referring to my signature?

In all the years I've been here at LNO, I have never seen that error message.

I was only asking if you were following specific instructions from Redhat.

If you had posted a link to the procedures, I was planning to look them over to see if I could help.

Sorry about that.
