I run Man 8.2 with Me.

My curiosity led me to install Win XP over the ME-Lin HDD and now Xp has removed LILO and I cant boot into Linux.

Help needed urgently!

Do you have a boot floppy for linux? If so, boot from that, log in, then su to root, and run /sbin/lilo from terminal to reinstall lilo.

Normally, when you do a dual boot with Windows, it's best to install Windows first, and then install Linux to keep Windows from overwriting your bootloader. If this happens again you may want to consider reinstalling.

hmm I reinstalled LILO from teh Mandrake CD. Works fine.
Then I got this message when Mandrake tried to boot:

"mount:error 22 mounting ext2 flags kernel panic:no init foun.try passing init=option to kernel"

I also remounted my ext2 partitions by selecting mount partitions form the rescue CD.
