I am attempting to install Red Hat 7.3 in Virtual PC 5.0 (under MacOSX). Everything goes well until I get to the part about partitioning my drive. I get an error message saying my drive must be reformatted. My concern is that this will reformat my real hard drive instead of my Linux formatted virtual drive. I have very little experience with both Virtual PC and Linux, so any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

The program is talking about the virtual drive which you can by the way specify the size of in the config wizard. No damage will be dont to your OSX drive.

ok, I got through the installation. Everything seemed to be ok but now when i start up the login screen flashes on and off and will not allow me to type in the password (but I can type in my login ID; but only when the screen flashes on). I manually entered the values for my monitor since it was not on the list - could this have something to do with it?
