Embedded Linux Question

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this...

I've compiled and installed busybox 60.3 on its own partition in my system. I would like to be able to boot it up from lilo so that it only uses files from the busybox install or files that I create for busybox (I don't want it to use my regular /etc files and so forth).

Any suggestions?
