You can use the ISO images, instructions for burning with Easy CD creator can be found here:
Linux ISO (http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/winoncdrwin.html)
Before you burn your ISO images check the MD5 sums of the files, instructions here:
MD5 howto (http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/verifyiso.html)
this is to ensure that you files wasn't corrupted during download.
Here's som links that might help you to use the linux commandline:

Have you read the help files in Easy CD Creator?
Select Data CD.
When the data cd program starts:
Select file | create from disk image.
Select file type of iso and select the image you downloaded.
Burn CD.
I suggest finding a book on the bash shell. It can be handy as a referenct manual.
