Quick Reply Box

How about a quick reply box near the bottom of the threads? this makes it so much easier to make a simple reply to a message rather than hitting the reply button, having to wait for the reply page to load........instead it's a two click process and your done.......especially helpful for us dial-up users.......any thoughts?????????

I was going to post about this, but decided to do a forum search first.

You can get it here:

It takes a quick line edit in showthread.php, a new template and a template edit for showthread.

It is very easy to install, and i run it on both vbulletin forums i run. It helps eminently for replying.

Unfortunately we try to stay away from hacks because in a lot of situations it makes it difficult to upgrade the software. Users get used to things and when there is no hack for the newest version it can create problems. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Here, here! I know that to be true myself.

My Forum has several hacks and it is a pain to upgrade software.
