starting password

Hi, just installed redhat 7.3 and when it boots after running though all it's starting stuff and the GUI comes up, its asking me for a user name and password to login. the only password i entered in setup was an adminstrator password, and it didnt have a username. any ideas on how to login? thanks in advance

The linux equivalent of administrator is root.
Try logging in as root and supply your admin password.
