I have an old Toshiba Satellite notebook that I would like to put linux on to play around with before I convert my desktop. I got the notebook for free (It was not working) and have managed to get it to boot into DOS (with a DOS disk).

I was wondering if anybody knows where I can get any information on how to install linux (without a GUI of course).
