Howdy!
I think we need an NHF for gaming in Linux. Maybe two NHFs, even. One on using straight-up Linux for gaming and another using WineX for gaming in Linux. I'm very happy with the performance of Linux, and the control I have over how it runs and looks, but until I can transfer my game-play to it, I have to keep Win2k in my PC. It seems like all the information on how to make gaming work in Linux is scattered to the four winds. Too many sources of information to read and browse through to get it to work. A nice, concise, one-spot-only source is needed. I feel that LinuxNewbie.org should be the spot for that source of information. Why? Because it would be put in plain English and anyone and everybody can benefit from it. I don't wanna have to go out and purchase Mandrake Gaming Edition. It would be nice, but it defeats the purpose of why I got into Linux in the first place.
Whew! I got that out of my chest! :D
