Would anyone know why I'm getting this message:
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'jbloggs@mycompany.ie'. Subject 'Testing from Linux!', Account: 'lyanthony@linux.mycompany.ie', Server: 'Red2.linux.mycompany.ie', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <jbloggs@mycompany.ie>... Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged [172.16.100.13]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79
... when I'm sending emails from an Outlook Express client on an NT4.0 server (which is a member of my linux domain) to any mailbox outside linux.mycompany.ie.
It was suggested to me that the problem lied in the fact that the sendmail server didn't recognise the client's IP Address and an entry to my DNS zone file was required to fix the problem. I've done this and it didn't work. When I try the same process on any linux email client on either of my two linux machines it works fine.
Any ideas?
BTW 172.16.100.13 is the IP address of my nt server.
