Thx Xenon mdwatts 07-24-2002, 06:05 AM Search Google for Linux (see my sig) for the modem model. www.linux-usb.org to see if there is support for usb adsl modems. You can also try the application database at freshmeat.net XenonX2 07-24-2002, 06:33 AM :( Hmm... cant seem to find any solutions... mdwatts 07-24-2002, 04:28 PM Is that a Speedtouch modem? Try these freshmeat.net search results for "USB ADSL" (http://freshmeat.net/search/?q=usb+adsl§ion=projects). carlywarly 07-25-2002, 06:11 AM I don't think there is any support. I bought a Speedtouch instead, but even that isn't exactly a walk in the park. If you really want a good long-term solution, get a Modem/Router from dabs.com - are you in the UK? If so, £68 plus vat, gives 4 network outputs and usb (only windows drivers for the usb), so you would also need a network card. Works brilliantly and is quite easy to set up. XenonX2 07-25-2002, 06:29 AM Yeah I have figured that i will need a router to get on the net with Linux :( Thx for ur help guys;) Piix4 07-25-2002, 06:41 AM You should consider the Alcatel speedtouch. There is a single ethernet version of this modem that does not muck about with trying to be a router/dhcp server etc.... probably the best solution for your purposes. Trawlerman 07-23-2003, 08:37 AM I don't know if this helps or not but there are some drivers available for the Fujitsu FDX310. http://dsl-linux.tripod.com/index/ I wonder if these will run your FDX305? EDIT: I just found this information on the FDX310 FAQ on the Fujitsu support site http://www.ftel.co.uk/uk/products/consumer/fdx310_faqs.html Where can I buy the Fujitsu/Westell 305 USB modem? This product is functionally similar to the FDX310 modem, but has been only available directly to operators. We are not offering it to the retail market. So it seems that the FDX310 driver should work the 305 with no real problems :D Sound As Ever justlinux.com
