how can i use my serial port to connect to my network ? and how can i assign an ip to it ?? .. by the way can we doo this in linux ?? or linux do not allow to use your serial port to connect to your networks ?

Are you asking can you network two computers via a serial port?

Yes you can connect another computer to the serial port as another console device of the linux computer. You wouldn't need an IP address since it isn't connected to the network.
