Novell eDirectory 8.6.2 and Redhat 7.3

Hi All,

Just have a quick question here.

We're installing Novell eDirectory on this particular site on Valhalla (RH73) and running into a slight problem.

They already have a Netware 5.1 SP4 server here with NDS 8.79, but for some reason it's asking me for a .nfk file in the /var directory.

Do we need an OS specific license to install this? We have the valid amount of eDirectory licenses (200) already.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Novell themselves were rather sketchy on answering the question, and I came away with more questions then answers.

Unfortunately I don't have the answer for you. I searched my linux setup and didn't have any nfk files. Sorry. I'm thinking about doing an install on a linux server as well.

I did an installation of edir on a win2k machine and it took days. Had to upgrade all sorts of stuff on the only 5.0 machine in the replica ring. It seems to work fine now (mostly).

One note is that we didn't setup or win2k machine to be part of the replica ring. It's only a child.
