Hi

I'm having a few problems with IPTables.

Previously, my linux box was running Samba as a PDC. Recently, i have decided to install and use iptables. at the moment, i know very little about this program.

the current problem is that i cannot login from the clients to the PDC (on the linux box). i am assuming that i have to open up one of the ports to allow access to the samba server from my internal network

can anyone help?

You many want to run nmap to see what ports are opn on the other side of the firewall. Ports 137-138 are all windows junk.
Make sure those are open on the LAN side, but not WAN side.
