Greetings,

I am looking for a windows manager that enables you to edit what you themes look like by editing it by config files. Could someone tell me what type of windows manager does this. Once you tell me what windows managers let me do this could you tell me how to edit these config files.

*Respectfully Bows*

Thanks

i like Blackbox for fiddling with the styles, of couse i am no expert at it so i keep a backup of the origionals just in case i trash a style config file...

if you have blackbox do a whereis blackbox in a terminal and find the styles directory and the files are in there, backup the origionals then edit to your hearts content, they are pretty easy and straight forward using any simple text editor will do...

Every window manager that uses themes does this (that I know of). Some are incredibly difficult to edit/create (E), some are quite simple.

Thanks guys, that was realy helpful. Just a few questions remain. Which window managers are simple to theme (i mean in the config file editing type way) and which ones are very effective. Also where abouts are the config files located?

Thanks
